I'm a research intern at Microsoft Research, working with Mohit Jain. I explore the use of multimodal large language models in general vision-centric tasks and investigate its applications within healthcare in "expert-in-the-loop" settings.
I'm pursuing both my Bachelors of Technology and Master of Science (by Research) in Computer Science from IIIT Hyderabad. I was fortunate to have worked with and mentored by Jayanthi Sivaswamy at the Medical Image Processsing Lab in Center for Visual Information Technology. I had spent wonderful years taking the baby steps of research wandering through the diverse areas of medical information processing in an inter-disciplinary team - from developing AI-driven imaging-based diagnostic tools to creating visualization software for medical education.
Driven by the promise of clinical machine intelligence, I'm fascinated by the potential of approaching medical challenges through a computational lens. I work at the intersection of machine learning, computer vision, and medical imaging. My interest extends to the latest advancements in deep learning and its diverse applications that can create a tangible, positive impact on society.
Beyond research, I actively participate in the broader medical imaging community. For over four years, I've been involved with the MICCAI Student Board, currently serving as its President. Previously, I interned at INAI - Intel Labs, working on developing deep learning-assisted early oral cancer detection algorithms from smartphone camera images. Earlier, I was a founding team member at Matchday.AI, building automated football field top-view registration and analytics tools for sports broadcast videos.
